Terms of Use

1 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18 you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. The Service is intended for users preparing for the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) and similar medical-entry examinations.

2 Account Registration

To access certain features you must create an account using a valid email address, Google account, or Apple ID. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current and complete information during registration.
• Keep your login credentials confidential and not share them with any third party.
• Be solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Notify us immediately at the support email below if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.

To complete your profile you will be asked to verify your email address (using a one-time code we send you) and to provide a WhatsApp contact number. The WhatsApp number is stored on our systems and may be visible to our administrators; we may use it to contact you about your account or important service updates. We do not use it for marketing and do not share it with advertisers. You may optionally upload a profile photo, which — if you choose to add one — is displayed publicly next to your name on the in-app leaderboard. You can review, edit or remove your WhatsApp number and profile photo at any time from Profile → Edit Profile, and how this information is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that we believe, in our sole discretion, has been used in violation of these Terms.

3 Description of the Service

MDCAT Helper provides:

• Multiple-choice question (MCQ) practice across MDCAT subjects (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English, Logical Reasoning).
• AI-assisted explanations, study guidance and conversational tutoring, subject to plan-based daily usage limits.
• Mock tests, performance analytics, progress tracking and flashcards.
• A national leaderboard that ranks users by activity. Your display name and, if you have uploaded one, your profile photo are shown publicly to other users on this leaderboard.
• Past-paper access and aggregate-score calculation tools.
• Push notifications related to study reminders and product updates.

Features, daily limits and content may change at any time without notice.

4 Subscriptions, Auto-Renewal and Billing

MDCAT Helper offers paid subscriptions on iOS (Apple App Store), Android (Google Play) and the web. The billing terms depend on where you purchased the subscription. The sections below set out the Apple App Store terms; the Google Play and web terms follow afterwards.

Apple App Store (iOS)

The App offers the following auto-renewable subscriptions on iOS:

Prices in your local currency are shown on the in-app purchase screen and on the App Store. Local prices may vary based on currency conversion and taxes determined by Apple.

Auto-Renewal Terms (mandatory disclosure)

Cancellation

You may cancel a subscription at any time through: iPhone Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → MDCAT Helper → Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until that period ends. We do not handle cancellations server-side; Apple is the sole processor of subscription billing and cancellations.

Refunds

All refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s standard refund policy. We have no ability to issue refunds for purchases made through the App Store. To request a refund, visit https://reportaproblem.apple.com.

Free trials and introductory offers

If we offer a free trial or discounted introductory period, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Your account will be automatically charged the full subscription price at the end of the trial unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.

Plan changes

Both Pro and Ultra Pro subscriptions belong to the same App Store subscription group. You may switch between them at any time from the in-app Upgrade screen; Apple will prorate the difference automatically. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.

Google Play (Android)

On Android, subscriptions are sold and billed through Google Play. Payment is charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions are auto-renewable and renew automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time via Google Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions → MDCAT Helper. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access to paid features until then. Refunds for Google Play purchases are handled by Google under Google Play’s refund policy; we cannot issue refunds for Play Store purchases directly. Your use of Google Play is governed by the Google Play Terms of Service.

Web (mdcathelper.com)

Subscriptions purchased on our website are processed by our third-party payment provider. Web billing terms, including renewal and refund handling, are shown at the point of purchase on the website. Apple and Google are not involved in, and are not responsible for, subscriptions purchased through the web.

A subscription purchased on one platform is managed and billed by that platform only. To change the payment method or store, cancel the existing subscription and re-subscribe on the platform you prefer.

5 Free Tier and Usage Limits

The free tier of the App is limited to 2 AI messages per day, 25 daily MCQs and access to specified features. Daily limits reset at 00:00 your local time. Usage limits are enforced server-side and may be revised. We do not guarantee that any free feature will remain free indefinitely.

6 Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable local, national or international law.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service, other users’ accounts, our servers, or any related systems or networks.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, derive source code from, or attempt to extract any algorithm or model used by the App, except to the extent allowed by applicable law.
• Use any automated system, including bots, scrapers, or scripts, to access the Service or collect content from it.
• Resell, redistribute, rent, lease or sublicense access to the Service.
• Share, screenshot in bulk, or republish paid content (including past papers, AI-generated explanations or premium MCQ banks) outside the App.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
• Upload, transmit or distribute any content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, discriminatory, infringing, obscene, or that contains malware or harmful code.
• Use the Service to harm minors in any way.
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation.

Violation of this section may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without notice or refund.

7 AI-Generated Content — Educational Use Only

The App uses third-party large language models to generate explanations, study guidance and chat responses (“AI Output”). AI Output:

• Is generated automatically and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information.
• Is provided for study and revision purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, academic or admissions advice.
• Must be independently verified by you before being relied upon for any examination, application, or decision.

We make no representation that AI Output is accurate, complete or suitable for any particular purpose. You assume all risk arising from your reliance on AI Output.

8 Intellectual Property

All content provided through the Service — including MCQs, past papers, explanations, design, source code, logos, trademarks, and any compiled question banks — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial study use during the period of your subscription or free-tier use. No other rights are granted.

“MDCAT Helper” and our logo are our trademarks. You may not use them without our prior written permission.

9 User-Submitted Content

If the App allows you to submit content (such as feedback, error reports, profile information, a profile photo, a WhatsApp number, or AI chat inputs), you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, store, process and analyze such content for the purposes of operating, improving and securing the Service. You represent that you have all necessary rights to submit such content and that doing so does not violate any third party’s rights.

This license lasts only for as long as you keep the content in the Service. When you delete a piece of content (for example, removing your profile photo or WhatsApp number from Profile → Edit Profile) or delete your account, the license to that content ends and we will remove it, except for (a) copies retained in routine backups for a limited period and (b) information we are required to keep to comply with legal obligations. Aggregated or anonymised data that no longer identifies you is not subject to this deletion. Feedback and error reports you choose to send us may be retained to help us improve the Service.

10 Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services including but not limited to Firebase (authentication, push notifications, analytics), Google Mobile Ads, Google Sign-In, and AI language-model providers. Your use of those features is subject to the third party’s own terms and privacy policies, which you agree to comply with.

11 Advertising

The free tier of the App displays advertisements served by Google Mobile Ads. Ads are removed automatically while a Pro or Ultra Pro subscription is active. We do not control the content of third-party ads and are not responsible for any product or service advertised.

12 Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at https://mdcathelper.com/privacy-policy.html, which describes what personal information we collect, how we use it and the choices available to you. By using the Service you consent to the collection and use described therein.

13 Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, NON-INFRINGEMENT AND QUIET ENJOYMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE FROM VIRUSES OR HARMFUL COMPONENTS. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ANY INFORMATION, INCLUDING AI OUTPUT, IS ACCURATE, RELIABLE OR CURRENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL HELP YOU ACHIEVE ANY PARTICULAR MDCAT SCORE OR ADMISSIONS OUTCOME.

YOUR SOLE REMEDY FOR DISSATISFACTION WITH THE SERVICE IS TO STOP USING IT AND CANCEL ANY ACTIVE SUBSCRIPTION.

14 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL WE OR OUR AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR EXAM/ADMISSION OUTCOMES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US (THROUGH APPLE) IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD 50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for certain damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you to the extent prohibited by law.

15 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless us, our affiliates, licensors and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses or fees (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

16 Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Service immediately ceases.
• We may retain or delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
• Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification and governing law) will survive.

Cancelling a subscription does not by itself terminate your account; you may continue to use the free tier unless you delete your account.

17 Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. If we make a material change, we will provide notice in the App or by email. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of any change constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.

18 Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the competent courts located in Pakistan, except where prohibited by applicable consumer law in your country of residence.

19 Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements.

20 Apple App Store — Mandatory Provisions

The following terms apply to your use of the App when obtained through the Apple App Store. These terms are required by Apple and supplement, and where applicable supersede, the general Terms above.

20.1 Acknowledgment

You and we acknowledge that these Terms are concluded between you and us only, and not with Apple Inc. (“Apple”), and that Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. These Terms do not provide for usage rules for the App that are less restrictive than, or in conflict with, the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions as of the date you accept these Terms.

20.2 Scope of License

The license granted to you for the App is limited to a non-transferable license to use the App on any Apple-branded products that you own or control, and as permitted by the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that the App may be accessed and used by other accounts associated with you via Family Sharing or volume purchasing.

20.3 Maintenance and Support

We, and not Apple, are solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support services with respect to the App, as specified in these Terms or as required under applicable law. You and we acknowledge that Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the App.

20.4 Warranty

We, and not Apple, are solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the App to you (if any); and, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App. As between us and Apple, any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty will be our sole responsibility.

20.5 Product Claims

You and we acknowledge that, as between Apple and us, we, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims of you or any third party relating to the App or your possession and/or use of the App, including, but not limited to: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation, including in connection with the App’s use of the HealthKit and HomeKit frameworks (if applicable).

20.6 Intellectual Property Rights

You and we acknowledge that, in the event of any third-party claim that the App or your possession and use of the App infringes that third party’s intellectual property rights, we, and not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of any such intellectual property infringement claim.

20.7 Legal Compliance

You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

You must comply with applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the App.

20.10 Third Party Beneficiary

You and we acknowledge and agree that Apple, and Apple’s subsidiaries, are third party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that, upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third party beneficiary thereof.
